Linking Curriculum to Community

Build a record of values & character

Schools invest deeply in character, but tracking and celebrating it can be difficult.
Lief makes values like kindness, effort, and responsibility visible by connecting student actions to real impact in their school, local community, or world beyond.

Schools shape more than grades

We help schools achieve:

  • Alignment with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework

  • A positive school culture built on kindness and community

  • Stronger student wellbeing and engagement

  • Real-world learning through action and responsibility

  • Evidence of SMSC & British Values in action

Lief Passport

A Verified Digital Character Reference

With Lief, students begin a lifelong journey of documenting their character and values. All participation and value-led behaviour is recognised, celebrated and recorded in a personal passport within the platform. This is a portable character reference that can support applications for further education or employment.

Example Campaign

Charity Term

Process:

  1. The school creates a new Campaign at the beginning of the term

  2. Students are encouraged to choose their charity and create challenge activities to support them

  3. Students engage with the charity, seek support and upload their progress.

  4. Progress metrics are presented on leaderboards, emphasising engagement rather than financial results.

  5. At the end of the term, the school recognises the most successful fundraisers with awards.

Benefits:

  • The school can track all progress in live dashboards and share leaderboards.

  • The school captures community engagement statistics from all student activities for use in ESG reports.

  • Students can nominate their own charity and choose their preferred fundraising method while receiving recognition for their efforts.

  • Students begin building a record of their charitable activity in their Lief profile for when they want to apply for jobs or further education.

“Lief gives schools a structured way to capture, evidence, and celebrate the incredible work students are already doing. It makes that effort visible to inspectors, to parents, and to future employers without adding to our workload. It fits easily into school life and supports the values we already care about.”
